Foundation and Soil Management Fund Ordinance

OVERVIEW

The Foundation and Soil Management Fund Ordinance was adopted to provide financial assistance to residential owners for repairing foundation and/or slope failures associated with latent defects from the originally approved construction. The financial assistance limits are:

  • Individual private property owners may receive up to 50% of the total estimated project cost, not to exceed $25,000.
  • Common interest communities may receive up to 50% of the total estimated project cost, not to exceed $100,000.

Applications may be submitted (subject to the Board of County Supervisors appropriating funds for this purpose) for review annually from May 1st to June 15th. County staff anticipates completing the review of applications and forwarding a recommendation to the Board of County Supervisors for its consideration at a September Board meeting during that same year.
