YOGA STYLES
We have classes in a number of yoga styles, at both of our fitness centers. Understanding the style will help participants manage their expectations and find the perfect fit.
ASHTANGA YOGA |
Involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures, producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind. |
CHAIR YOGA |
For those who hesitate to try yoga because of the challenge of getting down onto the floor or doing standing poses, this is the class for you. Great for those with arthritis and issues with flexibility or balance. |
FAMILY YOGA |
Welcomes children (ages 8+) attending with a parent. |
GENTLE FLOW YOGA |
A class designed for beginners and those who need to approach the restorative movements of yoga at a slower, more controlled pace. Modifications offered, as needed, in this less intense yoga experience allowing you to gain benefits from a yoga practice. |
HATHA YOGA |
Concentrate on Yoga poses, breathing practices, relaxation and meditation. Use the breath to assist the flow into, through and out of yogic poses. Designed to help with balance, stretching, strengthening and mind-body awareness. |
MEDITATION |
Take time in your week to restore your calm and inner peace as you join in this group experience. Coming together with a shared intention can have profound impacts on your lives and your communities. Using basic meditation techniques will help you develop a personal practice which can deliver a lifetime of health benefits. |
POWER YOGA |
Challenging 90-minute class with as focus for an intermediate level and above. |
PRANAYAMA YOGA |
Create a balanced union of mind, body and spirit in this yoga experience that focuses on the breath throughout. By cleaning the energy channels of your entire body. This practice can help with detoxification and also aids in mental relaxation, increase your energy and overall wellbeing. |
VINYASA- PRANA YOGA |
Learn specific navigation method with in Prana breathing techniques combine with the energetic flow of Vinyasa yoga practice. |
