The Neabsco Greenway Trail is planned to run along the banks of the Neabsco Creek from Andrew Leitch Park to the Sharron Baucom Dale City Recreation Center and eventually to Route 1 in Woodbridge.  Currently, the only existing segment of this trail is the 3.5 miles of trail located in Andrew Leitch Park which were finished in 2012 with the installation of five bridges throughout the park.

Current and Recent Projects

  • New Bridges and Trail Heads - Throughout the summer of 2012, the Dept. of Parks and Rec worked to complete the Neabsco Creek Trail System through Andrew Leitch Park.  Three fiberglass bridges were installed; two spanning the Neabsco Creek and one spanning a perennial tributary to the Neabsco.  Additionally, two asphalt trail heads were installed which connect the sidewalks on Princedale Dr. and Lindendale Rd. to the park’s internal trail system. These improvement allow park users to EASILY walk the length of the park (roughly 2 miles), from Princedale Dr. on the north to Lindendale Rd. on the south.
