Conditional Plan Approval

Conditional Plan Approval (Concurrent Deed & Plat Review)

After all required steps are completed in the plan submission and review process, and the plan is ready for signature submission, Prince William County offers an optional process of “Conditional Plan Approval” to expedite a Site or Subdivision Development project. This allows the project to receive a stamped final site or subdivision plan and an approval letter before the County Attorney finalizes the review of deeds, plats, and agreements.

Eligibility Requirements
To request an approval letter with deed and plat condition, and a stamped final plan, the following two items must be completed:

  1. Agency Approval: All relevant review agencies must have approved the final plan.
  2. Legal Documents: All deeds, plats, and agreements must be ready for submission to the County Attorney and if applicable Prince William County Environmental Management.

Please note: While this allows you to begin certain administrative steps, please note that no site permit will be issued until all legal documents are fully approved and recorded.

  • STEP 1: Submit Request & Upload
  • STEP 2: Conditional Stamp & Letter
  • STEP 3: Parallel Tasks You Can Start
  • STEP 4: Final County Attorney Approval
  • STEP 5: Permit Issuance
