Staff are working on the remaining amendments concurrently and will bring them forward to the Planning Commission and the Board of County Supervisors together for consideration. The three updates are located within the Gainesville Magisterial District.
What’s Changing and Why It Matters
The Mobility Chapter Updates propose changes to the Mobility Chapter of the Prince William County 2040 Comprehensive Plan to reflect current transportation priorities in the Gainesville Magisterial District. The Mobility Chapter acts as a guide for future investment in the transportation network and outlines a clear and transparent vision for both staff and residents of Prince William County. Residents are encouraged to be aware of any proposed changes and provide input to help ensure the vision for the County aligns with resident priorities.
A mark-up draft version of the Mobility Chapter will be posted here when available to review the staff recommended text and map updates for each of the three amendments.
Prior to the Planning Commission and Board of County Supervisors public hearings links to the three staff reports will be posted here with details on the proposed changes, including background, analysis, and staff recommendations.
Upcoming meetings, work sessions, and public hearing dates and other information will be posted here when available.
