DCSM/Zoning Ordinance Advisory Committee (DORAC)

The DCSM/Zoning Ordinance Advisory Committee became active on July 1, 2010 and is designed to ensure the impacts of independently modifying the Design and Construction Standards Manual (DCSM) and the Zoning Ordinance are considered in a deliberate and collaborative process.

The committee is comprised of 26 members including representatives from related industry organizations, as well as citizens from each of the Prince William County magisterial districts, and an at-large representative. The Planning Director and the Director of Development Services, or their designees, act as Co-Chairs to the DCSM/Zoning Ordinance Advisory Committee with the Planning Director, or designee, chairing the committee when discussing Zoning Ordinance Amendments, and the Director of Development Services, or designee, chairing the committee when discussing DCSM amendments.

The committee meets as needed to review proposed zoning text amendments and DCSM amendments.

Meetings are open to the public.
